The tide was in by the time I arrived and the wind was well dodgy. Others had rigged 6 and 7 metre sails and I'd left my 6.5 at home expecting good wind. Went out and managed to plane straight off. After a few lulls the wind kicked in properly and I spent a couple of hours gradually working upwind towards Portsmouth and generally having a blast. What a result. Packed up before three in order to beat the traffic and get some things done at home, also anticipating a wind drop. I could have gone to the sea front and carried on. Superb session.
